A gold proof medal issued to commemorate the 1,000th anniversary of Brussels. The obverse depicts Brussels Town Hall beneath the inscription URBS BRUXELLA. The reverse shows Saint Michael slaying the dragon, the traditional symbol of Brussels, together with the dates 979–1979. Designed after Jacob Wiener and engraved by Georges André Brunet. Gold proof medal honouring King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola, featuring their conjoined portraits with the inscription BALDUINUS – FABIOLA 1960–1985. The type commemorates the Belgian royal couple and their 25th wedding anniversary.
